Fernando Suarez, DDS
Dr. Suarez is originally from Almeria, a city located on the southeast corner of Spain. He earned his DDS in 2011 from the European University of Madrid (Madrid, Spain). Shortly after, he moved to the United States to join the University of Michigan Periodontics and Oral Medicine Department, where he successfully completed his Master’s and Certificate programs in Periodontics.
After graduation, Dr. Suarez served as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor & Research Fellow at The University of Michigan Periodontics and Oral Medicine Department until 2017. Later, he joined the University of Oklahoma as an Assistant Professor until October 2019 when he moved to Tacoma and joined Sound Surgical Arts.
Dr. Suarez is an author/co-author of numerous peer-review publications, contributing to several book chapters as well as international oral presentations. Moreover, he is an active member of several professional societies related to periodontology and implant dentistry and he serves as a reviewer for multiple journals in arenas of periodontics and implant dentistry including the Journal of Dental Research, International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants and Clinical Advances in Periodontics. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
